NP Series Product Release

Posted on March 25, 2013

We've just released the "NP Series" which is our newest line of Pure Sine Inverter Chargers.

The “NP Series” Pure Sine Inverter/Charger is available in 12, 24, and 48VDC input with AC output power ranging from 1000-3600 watts.  The Power Factor corrected Charger puts out up to 60-150 amps DC depending on the model.  Most models are UL/CUL 458 Listed and feature easy to use DC and AC connections.

Dimensions is well known for its robust products and this new Inverter/Charger takes our quality designs to an even higher level.  These units pack a lot of power in a relatively small sized footprint in two chassis sizes and retain their cool with a processor controlled variable speed fan.

The Pure Sine Inverter is built to withstand the high output surge demands of motors, pumps, and other tools while providing high quality power for your sensitive electronic devices.  The Charger is Power Factor corrected which means that it will make the most of incoming AC power to efficiently charge your batteries.

Most systems comes with an easy to use 7-segment LED display (not the 48NP36L).  The display provides status, input/output values, programming, and troubleshooting information.  The display can also be used as a remote for use in another part of the vehicle by ordering an extension kit.

Here's just some brief thoughts on how your product is working for me. I have recommended it to other drivers looking at inverters for their trucks.

It's been installed since the truck show in May running a 900 watt microwave, 4.1 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer, 22" LCD tv and a DVR consistently without any concerns. There are the other occasional loads added onto this for charging, fans and air filters.

I've been in 100+ degree weather and recently down into the low 20's. have not had any slow downs or power issues while parked without idling. I usually start it up a couple hours before I leave home, to cool down my fridge without running the truck and I don't worry about the draw and not being able to start the truck. Then I'm out an average of 3 weeks and during this time the inverter never gets shut off.

So I can say I'm extremely satisfied with it. I have no interference between the inverter and other electronics in the truck.

After spending 35 years in the trucking business as a owner/operator, I have learned that you get exactly what you pay for. I have purchased numerous inverters thru the years from each of the major truck stops, they all have one thing in common, they want you as a customer until there is a problem with the $250.00 dollar inverter, than you need to deal with the manufacture direct. I grew tired of this and decided I would buy from the manufacture direct and bypass the middle man.

So I went to the Mid America Truck Show and visited every booth that sold inverters. I found that the Dimensions 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter met or exceeded all of my needs and requirements.

I use the inverter to power my computer (which is always on), satellite receiver, 20" flat panel TV, coffee maker and microwave oven. It is quite dependable and easy to use, even with the remote. From the purchase to the present I have found that the company representatives helped me with every step of the process. Yes! it cost more than the truck stop inverters, however I found that first responders, ambulances, emergency repair crews and the military rely on Sensata Dimensions Inverts for their power needs so I know I made the right choice.
